Odometer Repair

The rings on the back side of the wheel are the contacts for the horn, and the air bag. Notice the dirty traces... The outer two rings are for the horn, and the inner two are for the airbag.

Here the rings are polished up right nicely. Some recommend a thin application of conductive grease. I preferred to wipe with WD40...

Teh contacts in the column need polishing as well. The top two are for the horn, and the bottom 4 are for the air bag. If you have had intermittant flickering of your SRS light, this may solve the issue.

Here the wheel is all mounted up and torqued down to 60ft lbs. I elected not to use thread locker. I anticipate I'll be back in there before it becomes an issue.
