107 Series Odometer Repair
The gear set removed from a 1988 560SL. The black gear is a Z48x12, and the yellow is a Z48x16. The black gear had lost a couple of teeth, which let the pinion spin without engaging the black gear, therefore, no odometer tally. What is left of the pinion is on the right. It pretty much disintegrated when It was removed from its brass sleeve.
